Parking & Transportation
General Parking Information
All WVU decal parking lots will be free and open to Fall Family Weekend visitors after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 2. (no permits will be necessary) The upper level of the Mountainlair parking garage will be free and unrestricted after 4:00 p.m. on Friday and the entire day on Saturday and Sunday, but the lower level of the Mountainlair garage will be restricted to permit holders only throughout the entire weekend.
PRT Service
The PRT will be FREE to parents and students on Friday, October 2 from 6:30 a.m. – 10:15 p.m. and on Saturday, October 4 from 9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The PRT does not run on Sundays.
Mountain Line Bus Service
The Mountain Line Transit Authority is the public transportation mode for all of Monongalia County. Students ride FREE with their ID. For more information call (304) 291-RIDE or visit the website at http://www.wvu.edu/transportation/mountainline.html.
Coliseum Parking
Visitors can park here for free most days. Restrictions may exist prior to football games, basketball games and other special events. No overnight parking is allowed in the Coliseum lot.
Parking in Downtown Morgantown
All types of parking are available in Downtown Morgantown. There are several metered parking lots and two hourly-rate garages as well as street parking on High Street. If you are interested in purchasing parking for the city lots, please call the Morgantown Parking Authority at (304) 284-7435.
