‘Pancakes, Parents and the President’
8:15am -- Morgantown Events Center
Parents, start your morning with breakfast with President E. Gordon Gee! He will share information about the University and answer questions you might have. Parents can come at 8:15am for breakfast and remarks will begin at 9:00am. Tell your student to “sleep in” as you enjoy this “parent only” breakfast.  Parking is available for free at the One Waterfront Place Garage directly across from the hotel.

Fall Ring Day Ceremony

11:30am -- Erickson Alumni Center
Ring Day is held each fall and spring to present those students who have attained junior status with their WVU class rings and to share the moment with family and friends. Each recipient’s name is penned into the Ring Day Book, a historical record of those who have received the official class ring. Reservations for participants and guests are required. WVU Aerial Adventures – Zip-Line Canopy Tours
All Day              
Want something adventurous for your family to do? Want an aerial tour of the area’s best fall colors? If so, participate in the WVU Zip-line Canopy Tour! Located at the WVU Outdoor Education Center, each tour will take families on an aerial tour of the University Forest while zipping among the trees. Each tour includes 7 tree-based platforms, 4 zip lines, a sky bridge, a sky ladder and a 40ft rappel. Tours typically take 2 ½ hours to complete and may be reserved online (see link below).
Students receive a 40% discount on their individual tour spot, making this an affordable family experience.

Sunday Morning Hike -- Cooper's Rock State Park

Student Recreation Center - Evansdale
Families can visit the Student Recreation Center during the weekend for free! Take a run on the elevated track or test your skills on the 50-foot climbing wall. You can take a dip in the leisure or lap pool and chill in the 20-person whirlpool. Hours: Friday, 6:00am – 10:00pm, Saturday, 8:00am – 10:00pm, Sunday, 10:00am – 10:00pm.  http://studentreccenter.wvu.edu/

The Art Museum of WVU - Evansdale
Visitors can enjoy two exhibition galleries totaling 5,400 sq. ft. in which to view art. The Art Museum presents exhibitions organized from the university art collection as well as host traveling exhibitions from other museums around the country. The building is engineered to be energy-efficient while adjusting light, humidity, and temperature within the appropriate ranges required to protect vulnerable works of art. A university classroom, collection research room, and climate-controlled storage for the art collection are designed to meet professional museum standards. Stop by the Wise Library to visit two very special collections.   On the 6th floor, check out the Jerry West Digital Collection. This includes photographs of Jerry West throughout his life and career, as well as his gold medal and other memorabilia that are signed by Jerry West and other NBA stars.  The photographs highlight his time at East Bank High School and West Virginia University, as well as with the Los Angeles Lakers. The online collection also contains brief clips from interviews with Jerry’s teammates, friends, and family including Michael Jordan, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, and Shaquille O’Neal among others. https://jerrywest.lib.wvu.edu/

Visit Coopers Rock State Forest
Is there anything more lovely than fall foliage?  Not in Wild, Wonderful West Virginia!  Stop by Coopers Rock State Forest, located 13 miles east of Morgantown on I-68.  It's a short walk to the main overlook, which features a panoramic view of the gorge and distant horizons.  The changing fall leaves have never looked better!  There are several trails winding through the forest and over ridges, and a number of creeks to explore.  Keep your eyes open and you may see squirrels, chipmunks, hawks, owls, turkeys, fox and deer throughout the forest.  Picnic facilities are also available as well as a concession stand and gift shop.  http://www.coopersrockstateforest.com
